Brad Gerstner
Brad Gerstner is the founder and CEO of Altimeter Capital, a Boston-based technology-focused hedge fund and venture capital firm he founded in 2008. Gerstner is one of Silicon Valley's most prominent technology investors, known for combining public market investing with early-stage venture bets in the same companies — a strategy that gives Altimeter an information edge across the full lifecycle of technology businesses.
Gerstner gained widespread attention for his early and large bet on Snowflake, which became one of the most successful technology IPOs in history. He has been a vocal advocate for AI infrastructure investment and was an early backer of companies at the intersection of cloud computing and artificial intelligence. In 2022 he published an open letter to Meta's board calling for significant cost cuts and refocused investment, months before Mark Zuckerberg announced his 'Year of Efficiency' — a move widely credited with helping catalyze Meta's dramatic turnaround.
We invest at the intersection of technology and culture change — backing founders who are building the defining companies of the next decade.
